My Speech: Parkour
The Amazing Art Of Parkour
intro:
have you ever wanted to be like spiderman, climbing up walls and leaping from building to building? or a gymnast doing flips and turns across the stage? or do run you just want to run free, with nothing in your way? Well parkour could be the thing for you! For the people who don't know what parkour is, it is a type of acrobatic running that involves getting through, around, under or over obstacles in the most efficient way possible. It is all about the movement of your body and staying fit. Parkour can be risky at some points but is Super exciting!
Paragraph 1
Parkour involves health, confidence and a 100% chance of, Drum roll please... Fun! Yes fun the most enjoyable way to get abs! The excitement of seeing if you'll make the next leap gets your adrenaline pumping like crazy. This is the perfect choice of fun for dare devils, or someone who likes a bit of on edge action.
It's also fun because you get to meet your neighbours. "Hey Mr korey" "Hi kid how’s your day?" “good” "Hi mrs fitsgerald" "Hello dear. This morning my 150 kittens escaped!" Yeah my neighbours are weird. Parkour is a great way to make friends, if you do you can teach each other tricks. Speaking about tricks I’ll tell you about a few I’ve learned.
Paragraph 2
First of all the Palm Spin where you put your hand on an obstacle and semi-circle your way around the wall. Second the Cat Leap where you jump a long distance and land on a bar connected to a wall. And third the Monkey Vault Where you hurdle over an obstacle by swinging your legs through your arms. Another plus side of parkour is that it's great for your health! It gets you fit and active and also builds up some muscles. Also it stops you from using your device as much. It's bad for your eyes, and you really don't want them smashed. That would be horrible!
Paragraph 3
It's also great for your confidence! If you make just one obstacle that you never would have attempted before it would probably boost your confidence so high you could believe you can do anything. Not just in parkour though, it can get you ready for anything in life. Such as some sort of test in school or cross country anything you're a bit nervous about. I would say parkour is step for becoming a ninja. Maybe you watch Ninja Warrior on T.V, parkour would be perfect form of training if you wanted to do something like that.
Conclusion:
The words I’d use for parkour is Super Awesome Healthy Fun. I hope I've inspired you to go out and try parkour! Parkour got me through this speech so give it a go and be the Spider-Man! Thanks for listening.
